Carnival of Video Game Bloggers, January 2013

Welcome to the January 2013 edition of Carnival of Video Game Bloggers.

Jordan Bieber presents ParkQuest Creates Virtual Adventures in Public Parks posted at Jack Games. Turning a phone game into an outdoor video game of sorts certainly sounds like an interesting idea, but also seems like it could be prone to gimmicks. If it’s done well though, I could see it doing some interesting things for gaming.

Meg presents Knights of Pen and Paper Review posted at Hardcore Droid. A review of a game that sounds like it’s meant to be a D&D simulator. Where you play as the players of the D&D game, not the characters. An odd concept, though it sounds oddly appealing. Read the review to find out what Meg thinks.

sigh presents Born to Game…and Make Games posted at Behind the Scenes of Lucky Lady Games Studio, in which she discusses a bit about how growing up with games has affected her and her brother, along with some tangential stories along the way.

That concludes this edition of the Carnival of Video Game Bloggers. Join us next month for more great gaming info. You can use the carnival submission form to submit posts for next month’s carnival. Be sure to check out some of the posts of other submitters and perhaps leave a friendly comment or two if you like their work.
